VI. I interviewed two individuals to see what their response would be to my (our) plan. Their responses are as follows.
Duda, Justyna. Interviewed by Joanna Duda. February 21, 2011.
Justyna Duda said that raising the taxes on fast would probably not make a difference for the people that eat unhealthy foods because they would still continue to purchase those foods. She has also mentioned that most likely the obesity rate would not fall due to fast food taxes. One of the positive effects on enforcing higher fast foods laws would be the hope for our health care system to get better and successful.
Zbaraza, Luke. Interviewed by Joanna Duda. February 21, 2011.
Luke Zbaraza said that this seems like a very reasonable law to pass because it could reduce United States obesity rate from going up but even though there is no guarantee that the fast food tax will bring the obesity rate down it is always worth a try. If the fast food tax does not bring our obesity rate down we can hope that it will help United States provide a better health care program for people of all ages and salaries.
VII. My (our) answer, based on our research, to their objections and concerns are
if the fast food tax will help United States in any way. Yes it might help United states to lower the rate of obese people and help us gain control of our health care system. But this tax can do nothing at all aswell. People will most likely not care about losing a few more pennies on food and the obesity rate would most likely stay the same or keep going up. This tax can also not help the United States health care system to move and progress.
